New York State’s new Fund for Excluded Workers (also called the Excluded Worker Fund) received 10,000 applications in its first week and the first cash awards will begin going out next week. The Fund will provide a total of 2.1 Billion Dollars in aid to undocumented immigrants and their families economically harmed by the COVID Pandemic.

Information on applying and the application can be found here.

The state has set up a call center to answer questions from immigrants at this number:

877-393-4697

The call center has 600 operators. When an immigrant calls and leaves a phone number for a call-back, there is generally only a short delay in getting a call from the center.

The cash awards will be sent in the form of a VISA Card from a company names Blackhawk. The cards can be used to take out money for free at Money Pass ATMs.

Here are the answers to your questions about how to apply.
