Comprehensive immigration reform? There’s an app for that.

FWD.us, the tech-backed advocacy group has launched a new web-based app designed to help supporters of immigration reform connect with their local congressional representative.

By inputting their address, users can quickly see who their local representative is, as well as get a view of the representative’s stance on immigration and immigration reform. The key issues outlined include publicly speaking out in favor of immigration reform with an earned path to citizenship, as well as supporting DREAMers, who are young undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

The app also has quick links for users to contact their representative through social media, phone or even by traditional mail.

The idea for an app for connecting with members of congress was born out of the DREAMer “Hackathon,” held in November 2013 at the Silicon Valley offices of LinkedIn. Twenty tech-skilled DREAMers worked with tech founders such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and LinkedIn’s Reid Hoffman to develop apps for the cause. Push4Reform won “Best Advocacy” at the contest.

2014 is the year of comprehensive immigration reform. Be a part of the movement and contact your local representative to let them know how you feel on the issue.

The app can be found here.
