More than a thousand families are torn apart every day.

As we continue pushing forward on comprehensive immigration reform, let us remember that more than 1,100 people are deported from the U.S. every single day. More than a thousand families senselessly torn apart.

While the government remains shut down and Congress remains deadlocked on a budget, the deportations continue.

One of the strongest values in our country is family unity, which makes the separation of millions of families through our deportation machine all the more senseless.

This infographic, courtesy of the National Immigrant Justice Center, puts the deportations in perspective.
