More Nasty Talk from Anti-Immigrant Politicians in Alabama

Last week I told you about two Alabama politicians who talked about controlling illegal immigration with violence, or methods just short of shooting Latinos. Now the Alabama newspapers are reporting this about one of the pols backing the state’s new anti-immigrant law:

Madison County Commissioner Dale Strong reportedly said the new immigration law might lead to a need for more salsa in the county jail.

Funny, I get hate mail from supporters of the law who say I try to “racialize” this legislation. Well, here is one of the bill’s backers openly saying that it is a hit on Latinos. If you don’t think this is about driving Latinos out of the state, then you haven’t been reading the Alabama newspapers.
