Back by popular demand, the Long Island Civic Engagement Table will be hosting another training on the legal limitations, and opportunities, for non-profit organizations involved in electoral work. Click here for the flier.

The training, which will be led by an expert, Abby Levine of Alliance for Justice, will cover the legal issues around activities such as: voter registration, get out the vote, lobbying legislators, educating the public about specific issues, and collaborating with other types of non-profit organizations.

We will hold the training on Monday, January 23, from 2-4:30pm, at 1090 Suffolk Avenue, Brentwood, NY (our new office—the former site of the Salvadoran Consulate).

There will also be an opportunity for you to schedule time to receive one-on-one technical assistance specific to the activities and needs of your organization.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP directly to me. Please also feel free to disseminate widely to others within your organization or other organizations with whom you work.
