CARECEN will hold a gathering of young people who have applied for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) this Friday, April 12, at our Hempstead office.
Nearly half-a-million young people have applied for DACA so far and most of them are asking how they can make their legal status permanent. At this meeting, we will explain what Congress is planning for DREAMers and explore ways the DREAMers can get involved in passing legislation.
The gathering will take place this Friday, April 12, at 6:00pm in the CARECEN office located at 91 N. Franklin St., #209, Hempstead, NY 11550. The time to push for Comprehensive Immigration Reform to pass is now, and the youth of this country will surely play a vital role.
Last year, we witnessed thousands of undocumented young people benefit from President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, but the fight continues to find a comprehensive solution to legalize more than 11 million undocumented immigrants.
If you are a beneficiary of DACA or are interested in seeing your family and friends attain legal immigration status in this country, or are hungry to fight for comprehensive immigration reform, then you are invited to join us this Friday at 6:00pm at the CARECEN office.
