A small number of people with DACA work permits must exchange them.

As you may know, the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) issued some DACA work permits with a three year expiration date instead of two years. If you have DACA and are not sure if you have to return your card for a new one, United We DREAM (UWD) has developed an app to help you.

USCIS put the wrong expiration date on about 2,500 work permits and demanding they be returned by July 30th in exchange for a corrected one. If they don’t – USCIS is threatening to take away their DACA status entirely.

Confused? UWD built a confidential, free and easy online tool to navigate this complicated situation and break down the details and give you peace of mind.

This only applies to some of the people who got “three-year” work permits. Most of the 665,000 DACA recipients are cool & in the clear.

Better safe than sorry – check to see whether you this applies to you.
