A new Op-Doc by The New York Times, “A conversation with Latinos on Race,” is part of the NYT’s “Conversation on Race,” a series of short films about racial identity in the U.S.

The Op-doc explores how race shapes opportunity in a community that draws from such a hugely diverse group of racial backgrounds and ethnicities and how one identity gets forged from such an assortment of experience.“After Mexico, the United States is home to the world’s largest population of Spanish speakers. Latinos are projected to make up a record 11.9 percent of eligible voters in 2016,” according to the NYT.
