The Long Island Immigrant Student Advocates are hosting a discussion with Dr. Harold Fernandez, a prominent heart surgeon who began his life in the United States as an undocumented child. A DREAMer and a striver, Dr. Fernandez provides insights into a young person’s life without legal authorization, and the potential that exists in so many young immigrants.
The program begins at 6:30 PM at South Huntington Library on Wed. January 23, 2019. More information can be found in the flyer below. The program is free. Students, parents, and educators are strongly encouraged to attend.
