Join Us For the Ten Year Anniversary Vigil at SUNY Stony Brook of Marcelo Lucero’s Murder

On November 8, 2008 a group of high school students attacked and killed Ecuadoran immigrant Marcelo Lucero in Suffolk County’s worst incident of anti-immigrant violence. The killing came after months of intensely racist verbal attacks on immigrants from Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy. Thursday night there will be a vigil commemorating the Tenth Anniversary of the murder. The award-winning documentary Deputized will be shown.

Please note that while the Lucero vigils have traditionally taken place in Patchogue this year’s event is at SUNY Stony Brook. The information is below:
