All of the Lights for Liberty Vigils on Long Island Supporting Children in the Camps


Lights for Liberty is a national movement of vigils against the abuse of refugee children at the Southwest Border.

There will be a Lights for Liberty Vigil on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 8 PM – 10 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau 223 Stewart Ave, Garden City, New York 11530. Long Island Wins and the New York Immigration Coalition are co-sponsors. The facebook page for this event can be found here.

Huntington’s vigil will also be Friday from 8 PM to 9:30 PM in Huntington Village, NW Corner of Main St. and Park Avenue. Here is the Huntington vigil’s facebook page. This event is co-sponsored by the New York Immigration Coalition.

The Patchogue Vigil will be on Friday from 8 PM to 9 PM at 30 Oak St. in Patchogue. Here is the facebook page.

Lights for Liberty in Riverhead is Friday from 8:30 PM to 9 PM at 54 East Main St. Here is the event facebook page.

There will also be a Walk for Interdependence in support of immigrant families in Sag Harbor on Sunday at 3 PM meeting at the Windmill on Long Wharf. Here is the facebook page for this event. Please note that this event is on Sunday and not Friday!
