With only a few days left in the session, time is running out in Albany for the NYS DREAM Act – threatening to put on hold yet again access for undocumented youth to the state-funded tuition assistance (TAP) that would make a college education affordable, so they can follow their dreams and help build the economy of our state and nation.
The Assembly has passed the bill, but it has stalled in the Senate.
Public support for the DREAM Act by Governor Cuomo would be a game changer, and we need to tell him to do the right thing before it’s too late.
Please join Long Island Wins and the New York State Dream Coalition for a call-in day on Thursday, June 6th, and urge Governor Cuomo to support the NYS DREAM Act and to call on the Senate to pass the bill this session.
Help us send the message that the DREAM Act matters to New Yorkers, and that we expect him to do the right thing for young undocumented immigrants and our state.
Thanks for being part of this important effort!
