This has been a huge week for the immigration reform movement, momentum is clearly gaining on our side.
This week, we’re posting a series of different videos that highlight why we need to pass comprehensive immigration reform.
Today, we’re introducing you to Armando, an undocumented restaurant worker who is fighting for a better life for him and his family. A resident of Paramount, Calif., Armando has been living in the United States without documents for 13 years. Along with 11 million other aspiring Americans, Armando would be able to fully contribute to his community with the passage of comprehensive immigration reform.
This short film was among three that won the 2013 AbelCine Documentary Grant. The filmmaker, Steven Liang, will receive a $33,000 equipment grant to be used to produce a feature-length film about the lives of immigrant workers.
