
We often don’t realize it, but our country has had a long history of exclusionary immigration policy.
We’ve selectively granted asylum to refugees from certain countries while denying the same to those from other countries. We’ve excluded entire races and ethnicities from attaining U.S. Citizenship, even if they were born here. Today, we’re senselessly tearing families apart through our broken immigration system.
