Napolitano: Application Process for Deferred Action Will Open August 15

Testifying before Congress today, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano discussed a timetable to implement the new deferred action program for Dreamers.

According to Napolitano, the start date for the application process is August 15, 2012. She told Congress that procedures for applying will be announced on August 1.

CARECEN is offering free workshops explaining the new program for Dreamers. Our next workshop is at our Brentwood office on Monday, July 23, at 5pm (2000 Brentwood Road, Brentwood, second floor, 631-273-8721). After that, we will hold a workshop at our Hempstead office on Monday, July 30, at 5pm (91 N. Franklin Street, Suite 208, Hempstead, 516-489-8330).
