Head to Congressman Peter King’s office in Massapequa Park on September 14 and protest a new bill in Congress that would make it mandatory for employers across the country to use the unreliable E-Verify system for every new person they hire.
This is a job-killing bill that will make it harder for businesses to hire people by imposing yet another level of red tape. In addition, studies have shown that E-Verify incorrectly declares many people unauthorized to work who are legally here in the US and have work permits.
Join the National Day of Action Against E-Verify by coming down to King’s office in Massapequa Park (1003 Park Boulevard) on Wednesday, September 14, at 4:30pm. For more information, contact Omar Angel Pérez and Carlos Canales of The Workplace Project at 516-565-5377.
