Back in February, we told the story of three undocumented immigrant students at Nassau Community College who made the bold decision to go public with their immigration statuses, hoping to raise awareness about the plight of young people living in the shadows. The students not only spoke with the trustees at the school, they addressed the media, and then later participated in a Long Island Wins-sponsored panel discussion to educate their peers.
