I’ll be speaking twice in the next week on the killing of Marcelo Lucero. Both presentations will be after the showing of the film Not In Our Town: Light in the Darkness, a documentary about the murder.

The first event is on December 6 at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock (48 Shelter Rock Rd., Manhasset). The program is sponsored by the Nassau Civil Liberties Union and Andrea Callan from the New York Civil Liberties Union will speak about federal and state immigration initiatives.

I will also be speaking after a screening of the film at the Cinema Arts Centre on December 11 (423 Park Ave., Huntington) Joselo Lucero, the brother of Marcelo, and Luis Valenzuela of the Long Island Immigrant Alliance will be on a panel with me and two others. This program begins at 1pm and is sponsored by the Friends of the School of the Americas Watch.
