Election season in Brentwood is heating up—in only a few short weeks, the largest school district on Long Island will be electing its school board. But, all too often, communities of color have been ignored in this district, despite being the majority of the population.
That’s why we are getting started this Wednesday to mobilize as many voters as we can. Can we count on you to join us to contact Brentwood residents about this critical election? If so, please click here and RSVP. Here are the details:
What: Get Out the Vote Canvass

When: Wednesday, April 25, 5pm
We need all hands on deck for this critical election. This election promises to be extremely close—in 2010, the margin of victory was only a handful of votes! So, can we count on you to join this important community effort?
All it takes is two hours of your time to make a difference. And, for those who have never helped with Get Out the Vote before—never fear, we will train you before getting started.

¡La temporada de elecciones ya ha empezado en Brentwood! En solo tres semanas, el distrito escolar más grande de Long Island va a elegir su junta escolar.
