Educating the Educators is an initiative of Long Island Jobs with Justice’s Equal Education and Employment Campaign. Campaign work is based on the premise that education and fair employment is a right and not a privilege. We work to empower students to advocate for themselves; and to train guidance counselors and administrators on how to best support undocumented students in their schools.
Charlene Obernauer is the executive director of Long Island Jobs with Justice, a workers’ rights advocacy organization.
