To help those with TPS or DACA who are wondering how they can plan for the future, CARECEN is offering free individualized counselling at its Hempstead office. The counselling will be given by immigration attorney Ron Cerreta. Ron is a 2009 graduate of CUNY Law School and he has been working in the immigration law field as a lawyer or BIA representative since 1992.
This counselling program will screen for relief from deportation that can be applied for now, including relative petitions and NACARA. Workshops on defensive applications like Cancellation of Removal and Asylum will be offered at a later time.
Because most applications to Homeland Security take many months or years to be completed, those who fear losing their current legal protections are encouraged to make an appointment today.
