Matt Heimbach is a vicious racist leader of the anti-immigrant Alt-Right. He has long branded immigrants as a criminal underclass. This week he was arrested for assaulting the spokesman for his Nazi organization, the Traditionalist Worker Party.
Heimbach was having sexual relations with his spokesman’s wife. Matt Parrott had served as Heimbach’s right-hand-man for years and Heimbach paid him back by having what is charitably described as an affair with his wife.
Heimbach is married to Matt Parrott’s step-daughter.
This week, Matt Parrott and his step-daughter followed Heimbach and Parrot’s wife and watched them having sex at the Trad Worker Party trailer park. Parrott watched from atop a wooden box, which broke under his white nationalist weight. Parrott then confronted the two all-too-white paramores. Heimbach assaulted his father-in-law. Heimbach then choked Parrott until he was unconscious.
When police went to Heimbach’s house trailer, they heard him yelling at his wife and could hear the sounds of a scuffle. Heimbach’s wife later “He kicked the wall, and then grabbed my cheeks, making them bleed, and threw me…on my face onto the bed.”
Parrott told the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) that the membership records of the Trad Workers had been destroyed. He told The Daily Beast; “I guaranteed that all our membership data was destroyed because of lot of concern with people’s information being caught in this white trash circus. All the information is destroyed and everybody’s personal information is protected. Obviously due to the events that transpired, people have lost faith in the party on every level. I totally respect that and it’s my job to protect that information.”
Heimbach and his group has served as the violent paramilitary force for Nazi leader Richard Spencer. Heimbach was a prominent Alt-Right supporter of Donald Trump and he was arrested at a Trump rally for attacking an African American woman.
My own experience with Heimbach goes back to his days with Youth for Western Civilization when he was a student at Towson State in Maryland. As a teenager, Heimbach was already on the most extreme end of the far right and he has moved ever further down that road since then. At the time he was recruiting young, college-educated men into his hate groups. Now he is beating up his family members.
As the well-worn saying goes: you just cannot make this stuff up!
My experience with Heimbach goes back a couple of years when he organized a white supremacist “rally” that turned bloody, and 6 people were stabbed. I walked through that location on an errand shortly after — there was blood everywhere. I Never forgot this sight.
