
In a new Op-Doc by the New York Times, Asian-Americans discuss their experiences with racism and discrimination in the United States and how stereotypes have unfairly defined them. They explain that being called a “model minority” undermines them as Asian Americans.
The video is part of “Conversation on Race,” a series of interviews by theNYT where immigrants from different groups talk about their views on race and identity. The goal is to promote a better understanding of how institutionalized racism works and dismantle the biases around us.
