Last year, New York State, for the first time ever, provided funding to assist Long Island immigrants who are facing deportation. Called the Liberty Defense Project, the funding helps those caught up in the Trump administration’s ICE raids. We received word last night that this funding is in jeopardy. Please call Senate Leader John Flanagan and tell him that you want the Senate to include $20 million in this year’s budget for the Liberty Defense Project’s funding statewide.
