Today is the first day that immigrants who were excluded from COVID financial relief and unemployment are able to apply for money under the new Fund for Excluded Workers (FEW) set-up by New York State. The fund, 2.1 Billion dollars in all, was a principal campaign of the New York Immigration Coalition and its members. On Long island, Jobs With Justice took a leading role in fighting for the fund.
The application for the fund can be found here.
The FEW website has the most updated info about eligibility.
