Laura Lemus is the Special Projects Coordinator for Long Island Wins. Laura began following her passion for immigration in High School when she participated in the East End Listening Project, a study done among New Americans and native Long Islanders. In 2014, Laura was selected as the 2014 youth honoree by Long Island Jobs with Justice for her passion and energy in building power for young people across Long Island, specifically for her work on the NY DREAM Act. In 2016, she was selected as one of 50 alumni honorees by her alma mater, SUNY Old Westbury.
