Not One More

Our immigration system is clearly broken, and in more ways that one. But perhaps the more important reason why we need comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship is that we have more than 1,100 families that are torn apart every single day through senseless deportations.

There are a few laws that can help, which allows immigration officials to use “prosecutorial discretion,” and there is also Deferred Action (DACA), which can help young immigrants. But these programs are widely under utilized or are not available to many people.

And contrary to popular belief, being married to a U.S. Citizen does not automatically protect you from deportation either.

This heartbreaking video depicts a situation which affects more than 1,100 families every day.
