In recent weeks, the incisive play “What Killed Marcelo Lucero?”—which seeks to engage audience members in a dialogue about hate and immigration—has been presented in several towns and villages across Long Island, and on Friday, June 3, the play arrives in Manhasset.

The performance is hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock(Worship Room, 48 Shelter Rock Rd., Manhasset, 7:30pm, RSVP to Sharyn at 516-627-6560, ext. 160). Admission is free, with a $15 suggested donation to benefit the Central American Refugee Center and SEPA Mujer.

The play is presented by Teatro Yerbabruja and sponsored the congregation’s Women’s Group and Social Justice Committee; Welcoming Long Island, a campaign of Long Island Wins; and the Long Island Immigrant Alliance.
