Annual Giving: Six Things Your Donation Can Do

We’ve had a busy and fruitful year at Long Island Wins, expanding programs like our Welcoming Long Island campaign and partnering with local media outlets to extend the reach of our stories about immigration.

But we can’t continue making these strides without your support. Here are six things that you can help us accomplish in 2012:

1. Help grow our Welcoming Long Island campaigns in Port Jefferson, Central Islip, and Port Washington, and help us incubate campaigns in more communities.

2. Fund our newest reporting fellowship, which will focus on LGBT immigration issues.

3. Support upcoming educational forums on issues like the DREAM Act.

4. Strengthen our coverage of immigrant businesses and help highlight the economic contributions of immigrants on Long Island.

5. Promote civic engagement efforts for the 2012 elections.

6. Ensure funding for our ongoing, four-year history series, The Immigrants’ Civil War.

Give $50, $100, $250, or $500 during our annual giving campaign and help make these projects a success.

Please remember to make your check payable to “Long Island Wins.”
