The Long Island Young Latino Professionals will be kicking off the 2012 monthly cover parties at Jewel Restaurant on Friday, March 30, and we are excited to announce this month’s guest speaker, Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos, a GOP contender for US Senate.
Being that this is an election year, we will be inviting different candidates, regardless of their party affiliations, to address and mingle with our young professionals. Proceeds from the event will also benefit SEPA Mujer, an organization advocating for the rights of women immigrants on Long Island.
The LIYLP is a social, bipartisan group that believes in giving back to our community and empowering our young professionals, and these monthly events are part of that mission.
Hope you can join us, and join our Facebook group!
